Terms and Conditions

1. Unless otherwise expressly specified herein the terms "You", "Customer", "Shipper", "Consignor", "Client" expressly mentioned in this terms and conditions means and includes persons, not limited to natural persons, who send their consignments including documents of any dimensions, weight etc. to cause the delivery to the address mentioned on the face of the consignment.
2. Unless otherwise expressly specified herein the terms "Us", "Our", "Transporter", "Courier", expressly mentioned in this terms and conditions means and includes The Professional Couriers its Branch Offices, Agents, Administrative Personnel, Representatives, Franchisees, Employees, etc.
3. Customers are required to ensure damage and tamper-proof packing of Consignments and parcels. Consignments sent are to be insured by the customers only.
4. Collection of Consignments may be made at the customers' office premises or any other place of work or otherwise as per the cut off timings intimated at the time of agreement which may be modified on mutual consent.
5. Consignments shall not be collected at the Customer's office premises or any other place of work or otherwise on Sundays, Government holidays, Local holidays and after booking hours.
6. Customers can also book their Consignments at the head office and its branches before office hours to effect timely dispatch and delivery.
7. Consignments will be delivered to various places in the country, after the expiry of the date of the booking, as follows:- Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bangalore & Pondicherry – within 24 hours to 36 hours To Places located in the interior Southern States – within 48 hours To Places located in the interior Northern States – within 48 to 72 hours.
8. Sincere efforts will be taken to ensure the proper delivery of your consignments within the stipulated time. Notwithstanding anything in this Terms and Conditions delivery of Consignments will not be effected on Sundays, Government holidays, Local holidays, Strikes, Lockouts and after office hours.
9. Consignments booked will be delivered only to the address mentioned in the consignment. The correctness of the address or alternate address will not be enquired even if contact numbers are mentioned in the consignment.
10. Consignments may be delivered to the alternate address only when it is provided by the consignor and that too, only if intimated in time.Any standing instruction or directions from you apart from regular formalities and procedures are undertaken while booking or delivering a consignment, must be provided in writing well in advance.
11. GST as applicable and/or other statutory levies will be charged on the supplies according to relevant laws and shall be payable by you.
12. Complaints regarding non-delivery of Consignments or any deficiency in service must be lodged at our Head Office in writing within ten days from the date of booking to facilitate quick and easy tracking, otherwise, the consignment shall be deemed to be delivered in good condition and order. 13. In-case of loss of Consignments containing bank instruments compensation will be made only to the extent of the reasonable expenses incurred in re- constructing the instrument. Request for compensation for loss of CASH, JEWELLERY, ATM CARDS, CELL PHONE, PASSPORT, VISA PAPERS, BANNED ITEMS, LIQUID ITEMS, FLAMMABLES, CHEMICALS, VALUABLE ITEMS, R.C. BOOKS, CLOTH MATERIALS AND ELECTRONIC ITEMS will not be entertained on any grounds.Compensation for loss of profit / future prospects will not be entertained, and The Professional Couriers will not be liable under any circumstances.
14. The Consignor hereby accepts to indemnify The Professional Couriers for all losses, costs, arising as a consequence of, in respect of, in relation to any circumstance that leads to any damage, destruction, deterioration, loss of utility, to any article of or in possession or ownership of the Professional Couriers, Salem whether or not such loss or/and cost has arisen as a result of sending banned items or dangerous goods or because of failure to exercise reasonable care while booking the consignments or failing to communicate such fact which ought to have been communicated or done.
15. The Professional Couriers reserves the right to claim demurrages if any, and other expenses incurred for safeguarding the consignments which are returned and are held at our office or agents, counterparts' premises.
16. Compensation in full in case of damages shall be granted only after the subject consignment is handed over to The Professional Couriers, Salem.Compensation to rectify the damage shall be granted only after The Professional Couriers, Salem is reasonably given an opportunity to assess the damage.
17. The Professional Couriers, Salem shall not be responsible for any loss, delay, damage, destruction, deterioration, or loss of utility, reduction in utility of any consignment which bears an incomplete address, wrong address, wrong phone number and also for any monitory or non-monitory consequence that arise out of delivery of such consignment to such wrong address on the consignment.
18. A declaration copy for the parcels sent has to be furnished with sufficient proof viz., copy of the bills, a letter regarding the content of the consignment, as they are a part of Tax formalities. Failure to furnish sufficient proof or non – compliance of the legal formalities might lead to abnormal delay or seizure of the consignments by the Tax authorities for which the company will not be liable.
19. We are not responsible for the loss, damage and delay to the consignments caused by abnormal weather conditions, mechanical delays, war, strikes, civil commotion, riots, lockdowns, pandemic or when Disaster Management rules etc are in force in all or any parts of the country or world
